ToHot hotpot is a contemporary looking store located in the new in99 mall. The decor is a modern touch of traditional chinese and same with their dishes. The signature - Hokkaido crab sticks with crunchy vegetable knot is one modern spin on traditional hotpot.

Crab sticks are problematic to eat. If you leave it in the pot for too long, they shatter and you're left with strands of crab. If you dont leave it long enough, the crab stick does not get cooked through and lacks taste. The way ToHot solved the problem is by hand tying a piece of vegetable around the crab stick and you pick it up via the vegetable. Quite a smart tweak.

At the back of the store is a self-serve dipping sauce section where you can fill up your own. Locals add some garlic, cilantro, spring onions, oyster sauce, vinegar and lots of fresh sesame oil.
